Who We Are
The Manitoba Foster Family Network is a non-profit, charitable organization focused on grassroots community development opportunities to enhance the lives of foster families. Through a province-wide network, foster parents receive training, guidance and assistance, often provided by other foster parents within the community.
The Peer Support Program is an initiative designed to provide support to foster parents by foster parents. These network-trained foster parents are referred to as Peer Support Providers. Peer Support Providers have first-hand knowledge of the increasingly complex challenges to providing care to children and they have been trained in ways to provide assistance in a knowledgeable and healthy manner.
